There are many ways in which you can easily take time out for a quick workout. So if you are really seriously about incorporating a healthy exercising routine into your life, then keep reading and we promise you won’t be disappointed.

1. Wake Up REALLY early

One of the most important things you can do to really be able to do some sort of a workout is to wake up early. Wake up at least 30 minutes before your usual time and we promise even that can be sufficed for a short workout. There are so many workout regimes you can find online that will just be 20 minutes long but definitely worthwhile. You are looking for high intensity interval training workouts that will get your heart pumping and your body sweating! Then 5 minutes stretching afterwards and may be another 5 for meditation.

Pro tip: prepare all the ingredients that you need for your breakfast the night before so you just have to assemble them in the morning.

2. Turn the Journey into Work into a Workout

Now sometimes we know that it can be hard to find time in the morning no matter how quickly one wakes up, especially if you have kids or the elderly to take care of. So we have another solution for that, why don’t you try other heart-racing alternatives to work rather than driving or going on public transport? We suggest trying to cycle to work! We know that sounds crazy but you can always work around things. For example, taking your work clothes at the office (or better yet keeping a pair of your work clothes at the office) and then changing from your sportswear into your formal office clothes at work!

It might seem undoable but you will be surprised by how many people actually do this at a daily basis. Hey! Anything to get a good workout done!

3. Earn your Lunch

If you’re one of those people who prepare your lunches the night before, well then stop doing that immediately. Another way of having lunch is to walk to it! Why don’t you try walking to a nearby deli or a café shop for your lunch? That way you can squeeze in a short walk in your routine and really earn that lunch!

4. Take the Stairs

We know that the world has been made so convenient around us that we hardly feel the need to really use our body muscles to get anything done! However always try to be smart about the decision that you are taking. For example, try omitting taking the elevator all the way to your floor, why don’t you take the stairs instead? Climbing stairs is one of the best ways of getting your heart rate up. The movement of climbing stairs mocks the motion of walking lunges that means you will be making use of your glutes, hamstrings and the waist. Not to forget the excellent cardio that taking the stairs can prove to be.

Pro tip: if you are a beginner and your office is on the 11th or 10th floor then we suggest taking the elevator up to the 5th floor and then taking the stairs from there. We wouldn’t want you to over exert yourself! Take it slow and be healthy!

There are so many ways that you can be healthier in your every day, all you need to is some planning and baggage a whole lot of motivation!
